Hello, my fellow people, this is Anthony R. And this is my all about me page. I am currently 13 years old and I was born on November 24th, 2003 in Berwyn Illinois. I was born and raised here. Since I was born, I grew up with a passion of playing basketball. I just loved the feeling of hearing that basket say "SPLASH". I am also Mexican too. I listen to a lot of mexican music because I like the way how they use the instruments and how they play it all cool and raw. This is about me!

Outsiders Going Beyond the Book: Making Connections

Reading the article, Herd Behavior made me come upon these connections to the book our class recently finished reading, The Outsiders. It made me realize not only how similar the main character Ponyboy was, but the whole Greasers group. Adding onto that, it also made me realize that both the article and The Outsiders book brought some insight to the same theme. That theme was that everybody would follow the group's behaviors. They wouldn't just focus on them, if it involved one of their group members it would involve everyone else part of the group. The article Herd Behavior states, “All of the animals band closely together in a group and, in panic mode, move together as a unit. Don’t Doubt Me

“The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.” - Anonymous. This quote basically means that you shouldn’t ever let people doubt you because you’re always going to be able to do it and prove them wrong. I feel like this quote defines me in a way because whenever I get doubted in something that someone thinks I can’t do, I always try to preserve and accomplish it and prove them wrong.

Somebody Up There Hates You

“Everybody dies, dudes and dudettes.” This is a quote that was mentioned by Hollis Seamon in the teen fiction book she wrote, Somebody Up There Hates You. This quote really connects to mostly the whole moral of the story. We all one day are not going to be here, and it just makes you realize that everyday of your life should be lived to the fullest because you never know when it’s going to be the last day for you. Now let me ask you this... If you knew you were on the path of dying really soon, what would you decide to do before it would all be over for you?
